Sit on the leg extension machine seat with your back firmly against the backrest. Position your knees at a 90-degree angle with feet flat on the floor. Grasp the side handles for stability.

Place your feet under the padded leg extension bar, positioning it just above your ankles. Adjust the machine so the pivot point aligns with your knee joint. Ensure your hips and back remain in contact with the seat.

Slowly lower the padded bar by bending your knees in a controlled manner, allowing the weight to lower without locking your knees or moving your torso. Lower until you reach approximately 90 degrees of knee flexion.

Press through your quadriceps to extend your legs upward, straightening them against the resistance. Drive the padded bar upward in a controlled motion until your knees are nearly straight but not locked. Return to the starting position and repeat.
