1
Sit upright in the machine with back firmly against the backrest, feet flat on the platform, and knees at approximately 90 degrees. Position the machine seat height so handles are at mid-chest level.
2
Grasp the machine handles with a neutral grip (palms facing inward), maintaining a slight bend in the elbows. Ensure shoulders are relaxed and not shrugged. Set core engagement by bracing abdominals.
3
Slowly allow the handles to move backward in a controlled manner, resisting the machine's return motion. Feel the stretch across the chest and front of shoulders without allowing excessive chest stretch. Maintain contact with the backrest throughout.
4
Push the handles forward in a controlled, powerful motion by contracting the chest muscles, bringing hands together until arms are nearly fully extended. Pause briefly at full contraction, then return to starting position with control.
