1
Sit on the machine with back firmly against the padded backrest and hips positioned on the seat. Adjust the seat height so the knee pivot point aligns with the machine's pivot axis. Place feet under the foot pad with legs at approximately 90 degrees.
2
Grip the handles on both sides of the seat for stability. Position feet shoulder-width apart under the foot pad. Ensure core is engaged and lower back maintains contact with the backrest throughout the movement.
3
Slowly lower the foot pad by bending at the knees, allowing legs to extend forward in a controlled manner. Lower until knees reach approximately 90-110 degrees of flexion or until a comfortable stretch is achieved in the hamstrings. Maintain constant tension and avoid locking knees at full extension.
4
Drive through the heels and contract the quadriceps to extend the legs, pressing the foot pad upward. Return to the starting position with a controlled motion, stopping just short of full knee lockout. Squeeze the quadriceps at the top of the movement before beginning the next repetition.
