1
Sit upright on the machine bench with back firmly against the backrest. Position feet flat on the floor or footrest. Adjust seat height so handles are approximately at mid-chest level.
2
Grasp the machine handles with a neutral grip, elbows slightly bent at approximately 90 degrees. Ensure shoulders are relaxed and retracted slightly. Core engaged and spine neutral against backrest.
3
Slowly allow the handles to move backward in a controlled manner, allowing chest to stretch as arms extend. Maintain light tension throughout the movement without locking elbows. Movement should take 2-3 seconds.
4
Drive the handles forward by contracting the chest muscles, pressing handles together in a smooth arc. Return to start position with control. Squeeze pectoralis at full contraction before beginning next repetition. Exhale during concentric phase.
