1
Sit upright on the machine with back firmly against the backrest, feet flat on the floor or footrest, and torso centered on the seat. Grasp the handles with a neutral grip at chest height, arms bent at approximately 90 degrees.
2
Adjust the machine so handles align with mid-chest level. Ensure shoulders are relaxed and scapulae are retracted against the backrest. Take a deep breath to stabilize your core.
3
Slowly allow the handles to move backward in a controlled manner by relaxing chest tension, letting the weight return as the arms extend back. Maintain contact with the backrest throughout and keep elbows slightly bent.
4
Powerfully drive the handles forward by contracting the chest muscles, pressing through the handles until arms are nearly extended but not locked. Exhale during this pushing movement, then return to starting position with control.
