1
Sit upright on the machine with back firmly against the backrest, feet flat on floor or footrest for stability. Position body centered on the seat with shoulders relaxed.
2
Grasp the dumbbell handles with a neutral grip (palms facing each other), elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees, and positioned at chest height aligned with mid-chest.
3
Slowly lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing elbows to flex and move outward and backward, maintaining tension on the chest throughout the eccentric phase. Stop when dumbbells reach chest level or slight stretch is felt in pectorals.
4
Drive dumbbells forward and inward through chest contraction, pressing dumbbells together at full extension while maintaining controlled movement. Return to starting position with dumbbells at chest height, maintaining tension.
