1
Sit on the leg press machine with your back and head resting firmly against the padded support. Position feet on the platform shoulder-width apart, with toes pointing slightly outward. Maintain neutral spine alignment throughout the exercise.
2
Grasp the handles on either side of the seat for stability. Ensure feet are flat and evenly distributed on the platform. Engage your core and maintain upright posture before initiating movement.
3
Slowly lower the weight by bending at the hips and knees, bringing them toward your chest in a controlled manner. Lower until knees reach approximately 90 degrees (or slightly less depending on flexibility), without allowing knees to cave inward or extend past toes.
4
Drive through the midfoot and heel to extend legs, pushing the platform away in a controlled manner. Return to the starting position without locking out knees completely at full extension. Maintain constant tension on the quadriceps throughout the concentric phase.
