1
Sit upright on the chest press machine with your back firmly against the backrest and feet flat on the platform. Position your hands on the handles at chest height with elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees, keeping shoulders relaxed.
2
Grip the handles with a neutral grip (palms facing inward). Ensure your back maintains contact with the pad and your core is engaged. Position your shoulders down and back, avoiding any shrugging.
3
Slowly allow the handles to move toward your body by bending your elbows, bringing the handles closer to your chest. Control the movement with a 2-3 second eccentric phase, feeling the stretch across your chest and shoulders.
4
Press the handles away from your body by extending your elbows and contracting your chest muscles. Drive through the handles with controlled power, returning to the starting position. Exhale during the pressing motion and avoid locking out elbows at full extension.
