1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at sides or across chest. Maintain neutral spine and forward-facing gaze. Core engaged and body weight distributed evenly through both feet.
2
Drive one knee upward toward chest level while maintaining vertical posture. Opposite arm may swing forward naturally to assist with momentum. Avoid leaning backward or twisting the torso.
3
Lower the raised leg back down to starting position in a controlled manner. Avoid dropping or slamming the foot to ground. Maintain stability on the standing leg throughout the lowering phase.
4
Return to standing position with both feet on ground. Repeat the knee drive on the same leg for prescribed repetitions before switching to opposite leg, or alternate legs with each repetition.
