1
Stand on a sturdy bench with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a kettlebell in one hand at chest level or at your side. Maintain an upright torso with shoulders back and core engaged.
2
Position yourself at the edge of the bench with your working leg ready to step down. Keep your non-working leg slightly bent for balance and stability throughout the movement.
3
Lower your body by stepping down and extending the non-working leg toward the floor, bending the knee of the working leg. Control the descent by allowing your weight to load onto the front leg as you step down in a controlled manner.
4
Drive through the heel of the working leg to return to the starting position on top of the bench. Push explosively to stand upright, engaging the quadriceps and glutes to complete the repetition.
