1
Sit on a decline bench with your torso upright, feet secured under the foot pads, and knees bent at approximately 90 degrees. Position your hands behind your head with fingers lightly touching the sides of your head.
2
Take a deep breath to prepare. Ensure your back is straight and shoulders are relaxed. Engage your core before initiating the movement.
3
Slowly recline backward in a controlled manner, extending your torso toward the bench while maintaining tension in the abdominal muscles. Lower until your torso is nearly parallel to the floor or to a comfortable range of motion, approximately 45-60 degrees from vertical.
4
Contract your abdominal muscles and drive through your core to pull your torso upward and forward, returning to the starting upright position. Exhale as you lift, ensuring controlled movement without momentum.
