1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at sides or hands on hips, core engaged, and neutral spine alignment. Keep chest upright and shoulders back.
2
Shift weight evenly across both feet. Prepare by taking a deep breath and tensing the core. Maintain an upright posture with no forward knee cave.
3
Lower the body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, as if sitting back into a chair. Keep knees tracking over toes and chest upright. Descend until thighs are parallel to ground or slightly below.
4
Drive through heels and midfoot to extend hips and knees, returning to standing position. Squeeze quadriceps at the top and maintain upright posture throughout the ascent.
