1
Stand upright facing a wall with hands placed on the wall at shoulder height for balance and support. Position feet hip-width apart, with weight distributed evenly across both feet.
2
Engage your core and maintain neutral spine alignment. Press your hands lightly against the wall for stability as you prepare to invert your body. Take a deep breath to prepare for the movement.
3
Kick up into a handstand position by placing hands firmly on the ground shoulder-width apart, then extending legs upward against the wall. The body should be inverted with weight supported through the hands and forearms. Lower the heels toward the ground by plantarflexing (pointing toes downward), stretching the gastrocnemius and soleus muscles.
4
Press through the hands to drive the body upward and return to the starting position. Dorsiflex the feet (pull toes toward shins) as you rise, then carefully walk hands backward or kick down to exit the handstand position safely.
