1
Lie supine on a flat surface with your back and head resting firmly on the floor, legs extended straight, arms at your sides with palms facing down for stability
2
Engage your core and keep your lower back neutral against the floor; ensure one leg remains extended and flat while preparing to lift the opposite leg
3
Slowly lower the lifted leg toward the floor in a controlled manner, allowing the knee to extend while maintaining tension in the quadriceps, stopping just before the heel touches down
4
Drive through the extended leg to lift it back up toward the ceiling, contracting the quadriceps maximally, then return to the starting position with the leg elevated and repeat for the prescribed repetitions
