1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand at arm's length by your sides with palms facing inward. Maintain neutral spine and engaged core.
2
Ensure dumbbells are held securely at sides, feet are planted firmly, and shoulders are back and relaxed. Take a deep breath to prepare for the movement.
3
Lower your body by bending at the knees and hips simultaneously, descending into a squat position while keeping dumbbells at sides. Lower until thighs are approximately parallel to the ground or slightly below, maintaining upright torso and forward gaze.
4
Drive through the heels and midfoot to extend knees and hips explosively, returning to the standing position. Finish with knees fully extended and hips at neutral position.
