1
Lie supine on an adjustable weight bench inclined at 30-45 degrees with feet flat on the floor or footrest. Position shoulders back and down against the bench with neutral spine alignment.
2
Grip dumbbells with neutral grip (palms facing each other) at shoulder width. Hold dumbbells at chest level with elbows bent approximately 90 degrees, positioned slightly below shoulder height.
3
Lower dumbbells in a controlled arc, allowing elbows to descend and move slightly outward. Continue lowering until dumbbells reach approximately chest level or slightly below, maintaining a slight bend in elbows to protect joints.
4
Press dumbbells upward and inward in an arc motion, driving through chest muscles. Extend arms until elbows are nearly straight but not locked at the top position. Return dumbbells to starting position with control.
