1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a barbell across the front of your shoulders with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Keep your chest up, core engaged, and back neutral with a slight forward lean.
2
Position the bar on your front deltoids and clavicles. Grip firmly with elbows pointing forward and slightly upward. Ensure your weight is distributed evenly across your midfoot.
3
Inhale and begin descending by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously. Lower your body in a controlled manner, keeping your chest up and elbows high. Continue until your thighs are parallel to the ground or slightly below, maintaining neutral spine alignment.
4
Exhale and drive through your midfoot and heels to extend your hips and knees. Return to the starting position by pressing upward, keeping the bar stable and your torso upright throughout the ascent.
