1
Sit upright on the bench with feet flat on the ground or footrest. Hold dumbbells with both hands overhead, arms fully extended. Position the dumbbells close together with neutral grip (palms facing inward). Keep your torso upright and core engaged throughout the movement.
2
Grip the dumbbells firmly with both hands. Position them directly above your head with elbows slightly wider than shoulder-width. Ensure your back is against the bench support and your feet are planted for stability.
3
Slowly lower the dumbbells behind your head by flexing at the elbows only. Keep elbows stationary and pointed forward (not flaring out). Lower until forearms approach biceps and you feel a stretch in the triceps. Maintain control throughout the descent.
4
Press the dumbbells back up by extending your elbows and contracting the triceps. Return to the starting position with arms fully extended overhead. Exhale as you press upward. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions without locking elbows at the top.
