1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand at hip level with a neutral grip. Keep torso upright and core engaged.
2
Position the dumbbell with arm relaxed at your side. Maintain neutral spine alignment and slight knee flexion to prepare for movement.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, descending into a squat position. Keep the dumbbell stable at hip level and chest upright throughout the descent. Lower until thighs reach parallel to the ground or comfortable depth.
4
Drive through your heels and extend your hips and knees to return to the starting standing position. Maintain dumbbell stability and upright posture during the ascent. Exhale as you extend and return to start.
