1
Stand on a flat bench with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells at your sides with a neutral grip. Maintain an upright posture with core engaged and shoulders back.
2
Position yourself at the edge of the bench. Ensure your entire foot is firmly planted on the bench surface. Hold dumbbells with arms hanging naturally at your sides.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees in a controlled manner, stepping down one leg toward the floor while keeping the other leg extended or lightly touching down. Descend until the stepping leg reaches near floor level, maintaining an upright torso throughout the descent.
4
Drive through the heel of the supporting leg to push your body back up to the starting position on the bench. Alternate legs or complete all reps on one side before switching. Return to full standing position with both feet on the bench.
