Lower heels toward the ground in a controlled manner, allowing the calf muscles to lengthen fully. Maintain upright posture and keep dumbbells steady by your sides throughout descent.

Push through the balls of the feet to rise up onto your toes, raising heels as high as possible. Squeeze the calf muscles at the top of the movement, then lower back to starting position in a controlled manner.
