1
Lie supine on a flat bench with feet firmly planted on the floor. Position back, shoulders, and head in contact with the bench. Grip dumbbells with neutral wrist position at chest level, elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees and positioned slightly below shoulder height.
2
Hold dumbbells at mid-chest level with arms bent, elbows tracking slightly outward from the body at roughly 45-60 degrees from the torso. Engage core and maintain neutral spine throughout the movement.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing elbows to descend and move outward, creating an arc motion. Continue lowering until dumbbells reach approximately chest level or slightly below, feeling a gentle stretch across the chest without excessive shoulder strain.
4
Press dumbbells upward and inward by extending arms through the chest muscles, driving weights back to starting position. Complete the movement with controlled tempo, squeezing the chest at full arm extension before beginning the next repetition.
