1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells at your sides with arms extended and palms facing inward. Maintain neutral spine and engage core.
2
Ensure dumbbells are held firmly with neutral wrist position. Position feet parallel with weight distributed evenly across all four corners of each foot. Tighten core in preparation for movement.
3
Inhale as you lower your body by simultaneously bending both knees and hips, moving in a controlled manner. Descend until front thighs are approximately parallel to the ground or lower, maintaining an upright torso. Keep knees tracking over toes and chest up throughout descent.
4
Exhale and drive through heels to extend knees and hips simultaneously, returning to standing position. Push dumbbells downward to assist with hip extension. Maintain alignment and control without locking knees at full extension.
