1
Stand facing a power rack or squat rack with feet shoulder-width apart. Hold dumbbells at sides with arms extended. Keep chest upright and core engaged throughout the movement.
2
Position feet firmly on the ground with toes pointing forward. Grip dumbbells firmly with a neutral grip. Brace your core and maintain an upright torso with neutral spine alignment.
3
Initiate the movement by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously. Lower your body by flexing the knees and hips, descending until thighs are parallel to the ground or slightly below. Keep dumbbells at side and weight distributed through midfoot and heels.
4
Drive through heels and midfoot to extend knees and hips, returning to standing position. Maintain upright posture and control the movement throughout the concentric phase. Return to starting position with full knee extension.
