1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand at shoulder height with a neutral grip. Keep your torso upright and core engaged.
2
Position your weight evenly distributed on both feet. Ensure the dumbbell is held securely at shoulder level with elbow bent at approximately 90 degrees.
3
Lower your body by bending both knees and hips simultaneously in a controlled manner, descending into a squat position while maintaining an upright torso. The dumbbell moves downward with the body.
4
Drive through your heels and extend your knees and hips to return to the standing position, fully straightening your legs. Keep the dumbbell at shoulder height throughout the movement.
