1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand at side body position with neutral grip, arms extended naturally at your sides
2
Maintain a slight bend in the elbows and engage your core. Position shoulders back and down. Keep torso rigid and prevent any swinging or momentum
3
Raise the dumbbells laterally and outward, lifting them up and away from your body in a smooth arc. Continue until upper arms reach shoulder height with elbows slightly bent. The wrists should remain neutral throughout the movement
4
Lower the dumbbells back down in a controlled manner along the same arc path, returning to the starting position at your sides. Complete one repetition when dumbbells return to resting position
