1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, positioned inside or near a cable machine or squat rack. Hold dumbbells at sides with arms relaxed and neutral grip. Keep core engaged and chest upright throughout the movement.
2
Grip dumbbells firmly with neutral wrist position. Establish a stable stance with feet firmly planted on the ground. Maintain upright posture with shoulders relaxed in neutral position.
3
Slowly lower the dumbbells downward and outward in a controlled manner, allowing shoulder joints to abduct. Lower to approximately shoulder height or slightly below, feeling a gentle stretch in the shoulders. Maintain slight elbow bend throughout the descent.
4
Drive dumbbells upward and outward in a smooth arc to return to starting position. Lift through the lateral deltoids, raising arms to approximately shoulder height or above. Squeeze shoulders at the top momentarily before controlled descent to next repetition.
