1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding dumbbells at chest height with elbows bent and palms facing inward. Keep torso upright and core engaged throughout the movement.
2
Position feet hip to shoulder-width apart with weight distributed evenly across both feet. Hold dumbbells firmly at shoulder height with a neutral grip, shoulders back and chest up.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, descending into a squat position while keeping dumbbells at chest height. Maintain neutral spine alignment and ensure knees track over toes as you descend until thighs reach parallel or below parallel to the ground.
4
Drive through heels and midfoot to extend hips and knees, returning to standing position. Maintain upright torso and controlled movement throughout the concentric phase, squeezing quadriceps at the top of the movement.
