1
Sit upright on a flat bench with feet flat on the floor, maintaining neutral spine posture. Hold dumbbells at shoulder height with elbows bent at 90 degrees and palms facing forward.
2
Grip dumbbells firmly with neutral wrist alignment. Position dumbbells just outside shoulder width. Ensure core is engaged and shoulders are depressed away from ears.
3
Lower dumbbells in a controlled manner by bending elbows, bringing weights down toward shoulder level in an arc pattern. Maintain elbow position slightly forward of body to emphasize shoulder involvement.
4
Press dumbbells upward and slightly forward in a smooth arc motion, extending arms until elbows are nearly locked at top position. Return to starting shoulder height position and repeat.
