1
Sit upright on a bench with back support, feet flat on the floor. Hold dumbbells at shoulder height with elbows bent at 90 degrees, palms facing forward. Maintain neutral spine alignment with shoulders depressed.
2
Grip dumbbells firmly with neutral wrists. Position upper arms perpendicular to torso. Engage core and take a deep breath before initiating movement.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing elbows to descend and move slightly away from body. Continue lowering until dumbbells reach approximately ear level or slightly below shoulder height. Maintain tension throughout the movement.
4
Press dumbbells upward explosively by extending elbows, driving through shoulders. Return to starting position with dumbbells at shoulder height. Exhale during the pressing phase and maintain control at the top position.
