1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand at your side with a neutral grip. Maintain an upright posture with shoulders back and core engaged.
2
Position the dumbbell with a firm grip. Ensure your weight is distributed evenly across both feet. Keep your non-working arm at your side for balance.
3
Lower your body by bending both knees and hips simultaneously in a controlled squat motion. The dumbbell descends as you lower, maintaining a neutral wrist position. Descend until thighs reach approximately parallel to the ground, keeping the torso upright and chest elevated.
4
Drive through both feet to extend the knees and hips, returning to the standing position. Push through the midfoot and heel to activate the quadriceps maximally. Extend fully but avoid hyperextending the knee at the top position.
