1
Stand upright with feet hip-width apart, holding a dumbbell in one hand at your side with a neutral grip. Keep your chest up and core engaged with a slight natural arch in the lower back.
2
Position your feet firmly on the ground with weight distributed evenly. Engage your core and maintain a neutral spine. Keep the dumbbell close to your body at waist level.
3
Hinge at the hips by pushing them backward while maintaining a slight knee bend. Lower your torso forward in a controlled manner, allowing the dumbbell to travel down the front of your leg while keeping it close to your body. Feel a stretch in the hamstring and glute of the working leg.
4
Drive through your heels and extend at the hips to return to standing position. Squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement. Maintain a neutral spine throughout the concentric phase and return to the starting upright position.
