1
Sit on an incline bench set to approximately 45 degrees with back firmly against the backrest. Plant feet flat on the floor or footrest. Grip dumbbells at shoulder height with palms facing forward, elbows bent at 90 degrees.
2
Hold dumbbells with a neutral grip at chest level, elbows positioned slightly below shoulder height. Ensure core is engaged and lower back maintains contact with the bench throughout the movement.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing the elbows to bend and move outward, following a natural arc. Descend until dumbbells reach approximately chest level or slightly below, maintaining a 45-degree angle from the body.
4
Press dumbbells upward and inward by extending the elbows while maintaining a slight bend at the top. Drive through the chest to return to the starting position, squeezing the pectorals at full extension without locking elbows.
