1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in both hands at chest height with elbows bent and positioned close to the torso. Maintain neutral spine and upright posture with shoulders back.
2
Engage core and prepare to descend. Ensure knees are positioned over ankles and weight is distributed evenly through entire foot. Take a deep breath to stabilize the core before initiating the movement.
3
Lower body by simultaneously bending both knees and hips, descending into a squat position while maintaining upright torso. Continue lowering until thighs are parallel to ground or slightly below, keeping knees aligned over toes and chest elevated.
4
Drive through heels and midfoot to extend hips and knees simultaneously, returning to standing position. Maintain control throughout the ascent without locking knees at the top, then immediately transition to the next repetition.
