1
Stand with feet hip-width apart, holding dumbbells at sides with arms extended. Keep chest upright and core engaged. Position feet pointing forward with weight distributed evenly across the entire foot.
2
Before initiating the movement, ensure proper dumbbell grip with neutral wrist position. Brace your core and keep your gaze fixed forward. This establishes a stable foundation for the squat movement.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, allowing the dumbbells to descend by your sides. Maintain an upright torso and ensure knees track over toes. Lower until thighs reach approximately parallel to the ground or slightly below, controlling the descent throughout.
4
Drive through the midfoot and heels to extend the hips and knees explosively, returning to the standing position. Maintain neutral spine throughout the ascent and squeeze the glutes at the top. Return to starting position with controlled movement.
