1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Hold dumbbells at sides with arms straight, palms facing body. Maintain neutral spine and engaged core.
2
Take a slight bend at the knees for stability. Retract shoulder blades slightly and brace your core. Position dumbbells with a neutral grip at hip level.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by flexing at the hips and bending the knees, maintaining arm extension. Keep dumbbells close to body as you descend into a bent-over position.
4
Drive through heels and extend hips to stand upright. Simultaneously perform a lateral shoulder raise by lifting dumbbells out to sides with slight elbow bend until arms reach shoulder height. Lower dumbbells back to sides in controlled manner.
