1
Lie flat on your back on a bench or floor with knees bent and feet flat. Hold a dumbbell in each hand at chest level with arms extended or bent, positioned above the torso.
2
Grip the dumbbells firmly with neutral or slight pronated grip. Place feet flat on the floor hip-width apart or keep legs bent at 90 degrees. Engage core by drawing navel toward spine.
3
Slowly lower the dumbbells by extending the arms overhead while simultaneously extending the legs, creating a stretched position. Control the descent through the abdominal muscles to prevent lower back strain.
4
Explosively flex the abdominals and hip flexors to return to the starting position, bringing dumbbells back to chest level while knees bend upward. Exhale forcefully during this concentric phase to maximize core engagement.
