1
Lie flat on an incline bench with back support at approximately 45 degrees, feet firmly planted on the floor, and body stable against the bench. Position shoulders back and down, maintaining natural spinal alignment.
2
Grip the dumbbells with neutral grip (palms facing forward), holding them at upper chest level with elbows bent to approximately 90 degrees. Position dumbbells slightly wider than shoulder width.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing the elbows to bend and move outward in an arc pattern. Continue lowering until dumbbells reach approximately chest level or slightly below, maintaining control throughout the descent.
4
Press the dumbbells upward and inward in a controlled arc, extending the elbows while maintaining a slight bend at the top. Return to starting position by bringing dumbbells together, squeezing the chest muscles at peak contraction.
