1
Lie supine on a flat bench or floor with knees bent and feet flat. Position body in a stable, horizontal alignment with dumbbells held at arm's length above the chest with palms facing forward.
2
Grip dumbbells with neutral palms facing forward. Maintain a slight bend in the elbows and ensure shoulders are stabilized with scapulae retracted against the bench.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled arc, allowing elbows to bend and move outward while maintaining upper arm position. Continue descent until dumbbells reach approximately ear/shoulder level or slight stretch is felt in biceps.
4
Drive dumbbells upward by flexing biceps and pressing through palms, returning to starting position with arms extended. Maintain control throughout and avoid swinging or using momentum.
