Take a controlled step forward with one leg, landing heel-first and ensuring the front knee tracks over the ankle. Hold dumbbells at arm's length throughout.

Lower your body by bending both knees, descending until the rear knee nearly touches the ground and the front thigh approaches parallel to the ground. Control the descent with the quadriceps.

Press through the front heel to drive upward, extending the front leg to return to starting position. Repeat by stepping forward with the opposite leg or return to center before next repetition.
