1
Sit upright on an incline bench set to approximately 45-60 degrees with feet flat on the floor. Back and head should rest against the backrest for stability.
2
Grip a single dumbbell with both hands cupped under the top weight plate. Position the dumbbell directly above your head at full arm extension with elbows slightly forward and shoulder-width apart.
3
Lower the dumbbell in a controlled manner by flexing the elbows, moving the weight behind and below the top of your head. Keep the upper arms stationary and elbows tucked. Lower until forearms approach biceps.
4
Drive the dumbbell back to starting position by extending the elbows, pressing the weight upward and slightly forward. Exhale at the top as triceps reach full contraction. Return to full arm extension.
