1
Sit on a bench or chair with your back upright, feet flat on the floor. Hold dumbbells in each hand at your sides with arms extended. Keep your torso stable against the backrest.
2
Position your feet hip-width apart on the floor. Grip the dumbbells firmly with a neutral grip (palms facing inward). Engage your core and maintain an upright posture throughout the movement.
3
Lower your body by bending at the hips and knees simultaneously, as if sitting back into a deeper seated position. Keep your chest up and knees tracking over your toes. Lower until your thighs are approximately parallel to the ground or as low as your mobility allows.
4
Drive through your heels and extend your hips and knees to return to the starting seated position. Maintain control throughout the concentric phase and avoid locking out your knees at the top.
