1
Sit upright on an inclined weight bench set to approximately 45-60 degrees with back firmly supported. Position feet flat on floor for stability. Hold dumbbells at shoulder height with elbows bent at approximately 90 degrees and palms facing forward.
2
Grip dumbbells with neutral wrist position (thumbs pointing inward). Ensure shoulders are retracted and core is engaged. Position dumbbells level with ears, slightly in front of shoulders.
3
Slowly lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing elbows to descend outward and downward. Maintain slight elbow bend throughout to protect shoulder joints. Lower until elbows reach approximately shoulder height level.
4
Press dumbbells upward and slightly inward in an arc motion by extending elbows. Drive through shoulders and triceps, bringing dumbbells together at top without locking elbows. Return to starting position with control.
