1
Sit on a decline bench with feet secured and back firmly against the backrest. Position body at approximately 30-45 degree decline angle. Hold dumbbells at chest level with elbows bent at 90 degrees, palms facing forward.
2
Grip dumbbells with neutral wrist position. Ensure shoulders are retracted and engaged. Feet are planted on the floor or footrest for stability and to prevent sliding.
3
Lower dumbbells in a controlled manner by allowing elbows to descend outward and slightly backward. Maintain a slight arc in the movement path. Lower until dumbbells reach approximately chest level or slightly below, keeping elbows at roughly 90-degree angle.
4
Press dumbbells upward and inward in an arc motion, driving through the chest. Extend arms while maintaining slight elbow bend at the top. Return dumbbells to starting position at chest level. Maintain control throughout the entire movement.
