1
Sit on a weight bench with back support, feet firmly planted on the floor or footrest. Hold dumbbells at shoulder height with elbows bent at 90 degrees, palms facing forward.
2
Grip dumbbells firmly with neutral wrist position. Ensure shoulders are retracted and core is engaged. Position dumbbells close to the sides of the head.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by bending the elbows, bringing weights down toward the sides of the head while keeping upper arms stationary. Elbows should remain at approximately 90 degrees from the body.
4
Press dumbbells upward by extending elbows, driving through triceps until arms are nearly fully extended overhead. Control the weight and return to shoulder height in a controlled manner.
