Benefits

  • Promotes balanced muscular development by effectively recruiting the Quadriceps and associated synergists.
  • Utilizes Dumbbell to create sustained mechanical tension, forcing deep muscle adaptation.
  • Improves overall Hips, Thighs stability and proprioception during heavy loads.

Pro Tips

Think about pulling from your elbows rather than your hands to better isolate the Quadriceps and minimize bicep/forearm takeover.

Muscle Anatomy

The primary driver is the Quadriceps. However, the movement also recruits Gluteus Maximus, Hamstrings, Erector Spinae, Adductors to maintain control of the Dumbbell.
