1
Stand upright with feet shoulder-width apart, neutral spine, and core engaged. Hold dumbbells at arm's length with palms facing forward and arms fully extended at sides.
2
Ensure shoulders are retracted and stationary throughout the movement. Maintain a neutral wrist position with dumbbells gripped firmly. Feet remain planted on the ground for stability.
3
Lower the dumbbells in a controlled manner by extending the elbows, allowing the weight to travel back toward the starting position. Keep elbows fixed at the sides without allowing them to drift forward or backward.
4
Flex the biceps to curl the dumbbells upward toward the shoulders by bending the elbows. Bring dumbbells to approximately shoulder height, squeeze the biceps at the top, then return to full arm extension to complete one repetition.
