Sit on a flat bench with feet positioned on a step platform. Place hands on the bench behind you for light support. Keep torso upright and legs extended with knees slightly bent.

Position balls of feet on the edge of the step platform with heels hanging off. Ensure toes point forward and core is engaged. Hands rest on bench for balance only.

Lower heels below the step platform by dorsiflexing the ankles, feeling a stretch through the calf muscles. Move in a controlled manner, allowing full range of motion through the ankle joint.

Push through the balls of feet to plantarflex the ankles, raising heels above step level. Squeeze calf muscles at the top of the movement before returning to the starting position.
