1
Sit on an adjustable ab bench with backrest set to an incline. Position feet securely under the foot bar or rollers. Ensure lower back makes contact with the bench pad for support and alignment.
2
Place hands behind head with fingers interlaced, keeping elbows wide and shoulders relaxed. Maintain neutral neck position aligned with spine to avoid neck strain during the movement.
3
Slowly lower torso backward toward the backrest by extending through the abdomen in a controlled manner. Allow the back to recline against the inclined pad while maintaining core engagement throughout the eccentric phase.
4
Explosively curl torso upward by contracting the rectus abdominis, bringing chest toward thighs against gravity. Return to starting position with control, exhaling during the concentric phase to maximize core contraction.
