1
Start in a seated position on the ground with one hand planted behind you for support, torso upright, and one leg bent with foot flat on the floor while the other leg is extended straight out in front of you.
2
Place your supporting hand firmly on the ground slightly behind your hip, keeping your chest upright and core engaged. Position your extended leg straight and parallel to the ground.
3
Slowly lower your extended leg toward the ground in a controlled manner, allowing your hip flexors and quadriceps to lengthen as the leg descends while maintaining a straight knee position.
4
Drive through your quadriceps to lift your extended leg back up toward the starting position, maintaining a straight knee throughout the movement and returning to hip height before repeating.
